Beaches of Noirmoutier, France

Noirmoutier is a pretty island on the French Atlantic coast.  Off the west coast of France, a three-hour drive from St Malo, is an island that looks Mediterranean: whitewashed walls, terracotta tiles, blue shutters, pines like giant sunshades. This is Noirmoutier, attached to the mainland by a centuries-old causeway and a modern bridge ~ Paul Wade, Telegraph

Le Passage de Gois ou Gôa is a natural, periodically flooded passage leading to the island of Noirmoutier.

  2. Wouldn't it be fun to have one of those little beach shacks. My relatives in Norway have little cottages like that to escape for a weekend and they are painted wonderful colors.
